Editorial Process

Peer Review Policy

Every manuscript submitted to IJVAST undergoes a structured double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.

Review Workflow

  1. Submission & Screening (24–48 hrs): The editorial office checks scope, format, and similarity score.
  2. Reviewer Assignment: Two subject-matter experts are invited; identities are masked from both sides.
  3. Review (5–14 days): Reviewers evaluate originality, technical soundness, clarity, and significance.
  4. Editorial Decision: Accept · Minor Revision · Major Revision · Reject — communicated with detailed comments.
  5. Revision & Re-review: Authors respond point-by-point; revisions are re-evaluated where required.
  6. Production: Galley proof, DOI assignment, online publication, and certificate issuance.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and its contents.
  • Declare any conflict of interest before accepting an invitation.
  • Provide objective, constructive, and respectful feedback.
  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeline.

Author Appeals

Authors may appeal an editorial decision within 14 days by writing toeditor@ijvast.org with a clear technical justification. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief.
