Integrity

Publication Ethics

IJVAST follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure honest, transparent, and trustworthy scholarly publishing.

Plagiarism

All manuscripts are screened with industry-standard similarity software. Papers with more than 20% similarity (excluding references) are returned without review. Verbatim copying, paraphrasing without attribution, and self-plagiarism are unacceptable.

Authorship

Authorship is limited to those who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the work. Ghost, gift, and guest authorship are not permitted. Any change in author list after submission requires written consent from all authors.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be perceived to influence the work.

Data & Reproducibility

Authors should make raw data, code, and supplementary materials available on reasonable request. Fabrication or falsification of data is treated as research misconduct and may result in retraction.

Corrections & Retractions

When errors are identified post-publication, IJVAST issues a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in line with COPE guidelines. The original DOI is retained and the action is clearly linked.

Use of AI Tools

Generative AI tools may not be listed as authors. Any substantive use of AI in writing, analysis, or figure generation must be disclosed in the methods or acknowledgement section.
